These Trial Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the limited, invitation-only trial of Project BeeKeeper ("Platform"), operated by Hive IT ("Hive IT", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, connecting code repositories, or adding website domains during this trial, you ("Trial Partner", "you", or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.1 Platform Purpose: Project BeeKeeper is a multi-tenant website portfolio management dashboard built by Hive IT for agencies, freelancers, and development teams. It provides centralised visibility into website health, security posture, dependency status, technology end-of-life (EOL) timelines, and accessibility compliance across client portfolios.
1.2 Trial Evaluation: Access to the Platform is provided free of charge solely to evaluate platform functionality, establish operational workflows, and gather structured partner feedback.
1.3 Invitation & Partner Scope: Participation is strictly by invitation for designated trial partners. Hive IT reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate trial access at any time.
During the trial, the Platform provides automated background scanning and monitoring capabilities across connected client websites:
3.1 In-App Feedback Form & Categories: Trial Partners agree to submit all inquiries, bug reports, feature requests, and usability feedback through the authenticated in-app feedback form. Feedback items are categorised into: (a) Change, (b) Bug Fix, (c) Query, or (d) Suggestion / New Feature.
3.2 Weekly Triage & Communication: All submitted feedback is routed directly to a dedicated Jira board for weekly review and triage by the Project BeeKeeper team. For account queries, partners may contact [email protected].
3.3 Ownership of Feedback: You grant Hive IT a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, incorporate, and commercialise any feedback, suggestions, ideas, or feature requests submitted during the trial without restriction or compensation.
4.1 Designated Primary Contact: Each Trial Partner organisation must designate a primary point of contact for managing tenant access and operational communications with Hive IT.
4.2 Authorisation to Scan Third-Party Assets: By connecting client website URLs, domain names, or code repositories (e.g. GitHub, GitLab) to the Platform, you warrant and represent that you possess all necessary rights, approvals, and consents from website owners, clients, or domain registrants to execute automated security, dependency, infrastructure, and accessibility audits against those assets.
4.3 Multi-Tenancy & Data Security: The Platform enforces multi-tenant data isolation per organisation (slug-based routing). User authentication is managed via NextAuth.js v4 with Google OAuth. Integration credentials, tokens, and secrets are stored encrypted at rest. Trial Partners are responsible for maintaining the security of their OAuth credentials and access permissions.
5.1 Ownership: Hive IT retains all legal rights, title, and interest (including copyright, database rights, trade secrets, and pending trademarks) in and to Project BeeKeeper, including its underlying source code, system architecture, UI components, and documentation.
5.2 Limited Licence: Hive IT grants Trial Partners a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform solely for internal evaluation during the trial.
6.1 Exclusion of Consequential Loss: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hive IT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform or reliance on automated scan results.
7.1 Termination: Either party may terminate trial participation at any time by written notice (email to [email protected] being sufficient). Upon termination, account access to the Platform will be deactivated.
7.2 Post-Trial Data Handling: Upon completion or termination of the trial, Hive IT reserves the right to archive or purge tenant data, connected repos, and scan histories, unless the Trial Partner transitions to a commercial BeeKeeper subscription.
8.1 These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim.
